The City of Poughkeepsie runs its own 2026 tax sale online on Thursday, November 5, 2026, through NYSAuctions.com (Absolute Auctions and Realty). Registration closes Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at 4:00 PM. This is a separate city sale, distinct from the Dutchess County sale on October 21, and the county terms do not carry over to it.

How registration works
Register for this specific auction at NYSAuctions.com. The Internet Bidding Packet (IBP) is delivered through DocuSign starting October 23. Approval shows when the auction opens, so an account that reads Not Approved before then is normal.
- Deadline: registration closes Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at 4:00 PM.
- Do not borrow the county paperwork assumptions: this is a separate seller with its own packet and its own terms, once it publishes them.
